Sanskrit Name : Nimba Latin Name : Azadirachta indica Habitat : Commonly found on various parts of India Morphology : It is a large tree growing up to 18m high. Trunk - straight with branches in all directions. Bark - thick,black,rough from which secretion is obtained Leaves - pinnate ,crowded at the ends, of branches. Leaflets - 9-17,opposite,sub opposite or alternate;lanceolate,acuminate,serrate or dentate,glabrous. Flowers - numerous,white,honey-scented. Fruits - 1 seeded drupes,oblong,green and hard,on ripening it turns yellow and soft. Seeds - contain oil ,sweet,slightly pungent and sticky pulp and single seed. Flowering - February-April. Fruiting - June - August. Part Used - Flowers,Leaves,Bark,Seed and Oil.

This plant very useful in skin disease. a) It is used as biological pesticide. b) Seed oil using for hair fall.
